Leanfy is a nutrition and meal planning application. This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect, why we use it, and how you can control it.
We collect information you provide directly: your email address when creating an account, your physical profile (weight, height, age, gender, nutritional goals), your food logs and saved recipes. When you use the camera to analyse a food item or to estimate your body fat percentage from a photo, that photo is sent to an artificial intelligence analysis service for processing and is not stored on our servers. If you grant access to Apple Health, certain data (weight, calories burned, activity) may be read to personalise your recommendations. This data is never shared with third parties.
Your data is used to: • Calculate your calorie and macronutrient needs • Generate meal suggestions tailored to your profile • Track your progress over time • Improve the quality of recommendations We do not use your data for advertising purposes and we never sell it.
Your data is stored securely via Supabase, a SOC 2 certified platform. Photos sent for analysis (food identification, body fat estimation) are processed by our AI providers: Google Gemini as the primary provider, with OpenAI (GPT-4o) used as a fallback if Gemini is unavailable. Personalised recipe generation relies on these same providers as well as DeepSeek. These photos and data are not retained by these providers beyond processing your request. No personal data is sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes. These providers operate under our commercial agreements (enterprise API, with a data processing agreement in place), guaranteeing a level of protection for your data equivalent to that required by GDPR, and do not use your photos or data to train their models.
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently erased within 30 days.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS.
Leanfy is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact us immediately.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be notified within the application. The date of the last update appears at the top of this document.
